Is it free?

Yes. SimpleTab is free to use for tracking and sharing expenses. We are independently run and may accept optional donations if you find the app useful.

Do my friends need an account?

To add expenses or settle up, yes. But you can always share a read-only link with anyone to show them their balance.

What if someone doesn't have the app?

SimpleTab works perfectly in any mobile or desktop browser. No download required to view groups or pay.

How does settling up work?

For group trips, SimpleTab calculates the absolute fewest number of payments needed for everyone to be paid back. When looking at your balance with one specific friend, we keep it simple by only counting the expenses you two directly share.
